Caliente Field Station

The BLM Field Station Redevelopment included the demolition of existing buildings, construction of a new 7,396 s.f. administration building (masonry wall, metal roof), a new 3,533 s.f. fire station complex (wood frame, steel siding, metal roof), a new 1,800 s.f. engine barn (pre-engineered metal building with CMU stem wall) and a new 2,400 s.f. maintenance shop (pre-engineered metal building with CMU stem wall). Additional construction included the exterior public information kiosk and flag pole, a public picnic shelter with table and bench seating, site and utility development, and excavation, foundations, masonry, concrete, metal roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, paving, landscaping, interior finishes and communications network. PDG was responsible for full time onsite project inspection and supervision. Our responsibility is to ensure contractor compliance with plans and specifications, maintain daily logs with photos, first review of submittals, and check materials, equipment and operation to meet contract requirements. Also responsible for performing labor compliance interviews and payroll reviews, approving payment requests, and checks for OSHA requirements.
