Strip Beautification Project

	Project Owner Clark County Public Works Location Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada Project Cost $15,000,000

A major renovation, beautification, and upgrade of the Las Vegas Strip located entirely within NDOT Right-of-Way for four miles of the resort corridor from Hacienda Avenue to Sahara Avenue. The construction cost was approximately $15 million. This project included pavement replacement, traffic control, extensive facility upgrades, lighting, landscaping, and cosmetic improvements. Responsible for all phases of construction services including material testing, off-site and on-site inspection, quality assurance, compliance with project documents and pay requests review. This project required extensive NDOT coordination.

This project contained three (3) significant milestones due to the impact to the resort corridor. The contractor met all milestones and earned all bonus incentives and completed the work early. This project was awarded the first ever FHWA “Nighttime Scenic Byway” award in 1996.
